I’m a bridal makeup artist and the owner of Kathy Huynh Artistry from Orange County, CA. I am passionate about making brides look and feel their personal best. But, I am more passionate about helping makeup artists grow their career in the wedding industry so that they can earn income doing what they love.
Just three short years ago, I was a makeup artist with barely any clients and barely making any money. The industry seemed all sparkly when I was in school but I was left looking around wondering where all my dream clients were. Sound familiar? I soon realized that the wedding industry is completely different from what I had been taught in school. I learned that people don’t just show up at your door simply because you are qualified to do their makeup. I learned that the right understanding of brides and what they are looking for is the key to attracting them.
